Pilot (often capitalized as PILOT) is a programming language designed for use in education. It underwent standardization by the IEEE in the early 1990's. Pilot was fairly popular on early home computer systems, such as the Apple 2, or various Atari systems.

Pilot Today

There aren't very many versions of Pilot available today. Eric Raymond developed a version of it mainly to criticize the standard, but it seems to have disappeared. Other than that, the only other version I know of is my own previous version, RPilot which is being superceded by Sky Pilot.

Pilot Tomorrow

Sky Pilot is intended to be the standard version of Pilot for the forseeable future. All contributions are fully welcome, of course. Please email me with any ideas.
